Today martial arts schools have one hour or one and a half-hour classes. Billy held four-hour classes three to seven days a week for several years while training for his world class competitions. Just imagine, thirty-five minutes into the warm-up calisthenics, students begin to watch the clock. Two hours into this hellfire, the floor glistening with sweat, we were entranced in the familiar regime. Doboks (uniforms) drenched, as we cross the half way point the most seasoned students begin to hope he'd let up. Not a chance! Billy would bark out commands and we would continue to obey though fatigued to a limit very few athletes have become familiar with.
He retains an unparalleled ability to motivate. If you have an opportunity to work out with him, do it, but be ready to reach and sustain your limit. His love of people, passion for Taekwondo, and indisputable integrity, are the reasons that the great athletes of the world seek him!
