Taekwondo
August 2007
Rank: Second Dan Black Belt
Received from the Board of Directors of the International Martial Arts Headfounders/Grandmasters Council.

December 1977
Rank: First Dan Black Belt
Recieved from Mr. Billy Blanks

After watching Mr. Billy Blanks and his students perform at the "Battle of Lake Erie" martial arts tournament in Erie, Pennsylvania, I visited his dojang. His incredible abilities and the effectiveness of his teaching technique were astonishing. He was so amazing that I quickly joined his very aggressive training regimen in October of 1975.

I was very fortunate to train with Mr. Blanks. He taught at the Martin Luther King Center and the Glenwood YMCA in Erie, Pennsylvania. I trained very hard with him and his advanced students for "four hours per session". Yes, "four grueling hours per class". Lunges, skips, jumping, spinning, flying, kicking, and crunching! We toured as a demonstration team "The Flying Tigers". We were known as "The Flying Tigers" because we demonstrated tremendous agility with high altitude advanced Taekwondo technique.

After receiving my Black Belt in December 1977, I opened a satellite school under Mr. Blanks in Harborcreek, Pennsylvania. I continued training with Mr. Blanks for four-hour sessions and sometimes continued training for two to three more hours at his home. Our workout was an aggressive training regimen which employed repetitious fundamental training.

In 1983 I relocated to Lewisville, Texas for employment opportunity and to attend DeVry Institute of Technology.

Kwan Kune Do
March 1975 to October 1975
Rank: Green Belt
Received from Mr. Tom Karr

I began martial arts training with the Kwan Kune Do modern martial arts style under the instruction of Mr. Tom Karr, the founder. This style was similar to Bruce Lee's style Jeet Kune Do.
